The more we give, the happier we feel. Volunteering increases self-confidence whilst you are doing good for others and the community, this provides a natural sense of accomplishment. Your role as a volunteer will develop within you a sense of pride and identity whilst providing friendships and social connections.
Maldon Hospital values our volunteers who continually make a positive difference to residents lives and wellbeing by volunteering their time willingly for the common good and without financial gain.
Volunteering opportunities :
- Gardening
- transport (driving hospital bus or private cars)
- resident activities such as craft, gardening, games, beauty therapy, outings, reading, music
- exercise programs
- visiting/friendship
- pet therapy
- mobile kiosk
- administrative tasks
- committees – Community Consultative, Board, Clinical Governance and Quality
Whilst volunteering at Maldon Hospital you will work closely with the staff to develop an environment that is safe, respectful and joyous whilst utilising your special skills.
